Laos Branch Cleanup Day

As some of you might know my parents are serving a mission in Laos.  As children we didn't think it was a good idea to go on your first international trip to a communist country, but the are having the time of their lives. We are very proud of them and they are coming home in July. Elder and Sister Jones teach English, give out wheelchairs, work on getting water and restroom facilities to remote villages and work with the government officials to try to get them to recognize the church.  A couple of Saturdays ago they cleaned up their branch property which is an old French Chateau. Notice my dad raking leaves with a broom. Dad and I raked up a lot of leaves and grass together when The Jones Boys were in the yard care business. He wished he had one of the famous green Ames leaf rakes. They both amaze Leesha and I. They are a very young 70 and work and work and work some more. Sometimes we wish we had the same energy levels. Hopefully everyday in our own way we make a difference in the world.

Wow. Raking with brooms. Now that takes skill.

Side note: I'm really excited to see a picture of Gene wearing his pink tie to the LDS Prom.
